Rani's story starts in a parking lot in Mumbai, India — where she lived without consistent food or shelter. A visiting Canadian family found her, provided care, and connected her with local rescue services. After medical treatment and fostering in India, Rani made the journey to Canada, and she's been blossoming ever since.

She is sweet, affectionate, and curious — with a gentle spirit that wins people over quickly. She's a little shy at first, as you'd expect of a dog who had a hard start, but she warms up beautifully and loves being close to her people. Rani is family-ready and full of heart.

Rani has a mild Hepatozoon canis infection from ticks in India, which is common in street dogs. According to our vet, it is not currently causing any problems and does not require active treatment.
