The process
Fill out our adoption application form (linked below). We review every application thoroughly — this takes time, but it means every dog goes to the right home.
If you appear to be a good match, we'll reach out to schedule an interview. This is a chance for both sides to ask questions and get to know each other.
You'll have a virtual or in-person meeting with the dog. This low-pressure introduction helps both you and the dog get comfortable before committing.
Sign the adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee via e-transfer. Fees cover veterinary care, transportation, and fostering costs.
There's a trial period to make sure it's the right fit. Once complete, you'll receive your official adoption certificate. Welcome to the family.
Fees
All fees in CAD + HST, paid via e-transfer to adopt@eightpaws.ca

| Puppies (under 1 year) | $800 – $1,000 |
| Young adults (1–6 years) | $780 – $900 |
| Mature dogs (7–8 years) | $350 – $600 |
| Seniors (8+ years) | $200 – $400 |
| Special needs | $300 – $600 |
Fees include physical exams, 4DX testing, deworming, flea/tick preventatives, and spay/neuter.
