Where are the dogs currently located?

Both Youngsil and Rani are in foster homes in the Waterloo Region of Ontario (Kitchener and Waterloo respectively).

Can we meet the dog before we apply?

Unfortunately, we don't offer meet and greets before the interview process. Multiple pre-adoption meetings can be disruptive to the foster family's routine. Once selected, you'll have a virtual or in-person meeting before making any commitment.

Do you organize public adoption events?

We don't organize public adoption events. Many of our dogs are timid around strangers and crowded spaces — we prioritize their comfort and a calm, thoughtful process over high-volume exposure.

Why is there a virtual meet and greet?

A virtual meet and greet allows both the adopter and the dog to become familiar with each other in a low-pressure environment, helping to ease the transition into their new home. It's often the right first step before an in-person introduction.

What veterinary care is included with the adoption fee?

The fee covers physical exams, 4DX testing, deworming, flea and tick preventatives, and spaying or neutering. Any additional procedures that arise may require donations or sponsorships.

I live in a small home, condo, or apartment — can I still adopt?

Yes. As long as you can provide the necessary care, attention, and exercise for your dog, the size of your living space is not a determining factor.

Do I need a backyard?

A backyard is not mandatory, but it may be considered depending on the individual dog's needs. Youngsil, for example, loves space to run — but we evaluate each application on its own merits.

How long does the adoption process take?

Applications are reviewed within 2–3 weeks. If selected, placement can happen in as little as two weeks from that point, depending on vetting and any dog-specific factors.

What are the benefits of picking up the dog from the airport?

Early pickup helps establish a bond from the very first moment. After a potentially stressful journey, dogs often form a strong connection with the person who provided care and safety during their arrival — it's a meaningful way to start your relationship.
